Deutsch: Beschreibung: Der Bartgeier Gypaetus barbatus ist ein Greifvogel aus der Familie der Habichtartigen (Accipitridae). Er zählt mit einer Flügelspannweite von bis zu 2,9 Metern zu den größten flugfähigen Vögeln der Welt. Mit 225 bis 250 Brutpaaren ist der Bartgeier einer der seltensten Greifvögel Europas. Alpenzoo, Innsbruck, Österreich.
English: Description: The Lammergeier or Bearded Vulture Gypaetus barbatus is an Old World vulture, the only member of the genus Gypaetus. Alpenzoo, Innsbruck, Austria.

Eski Dünya akbabalarından olan kara kuş, 95-125 cm boyunda ve 235-280 cm kanat açıklığındadırlar. Kuyruk ve kanatlar gridir.
