Description The Bally Professional Arcade (also known as the Astrocade and Home Library Computer), a video game console released in 1978. A very early video game system, this was released by Bally Manufacturing and produced by their Midway video game division. The Professional Arcade also has computer capabilities, thanks to the built-in keypad that allows programming with an optional BASIC cart. The system was expensive when it was released, and was not a success compared to rival consoles, leading Bally to sell the system to another company that would market it as the Astrocade.
