Description The Atari 2600, a video game console released by Atari in 1977. Originally called the Atari Video Computer System, the system was the most popular gaming console of the late '70s and early '80s. This model is the "Woody" unit with woodgrain and 4 front switches that is the most common and iconic of the various 2600 models.
