Introduction: Effect of a 16-week Bikram yoga program on heart rate variability and associated cardiovascular disease risk factors in stressed and sedentary adults: A randomised controlled trial.

This Study was the first of its kind to examine the consequences of Bikram yoga on any heart rate variability results. The reasoning behind the study was to see if a 16 week bikram yoga intervention had an effect on the high frequency power component of HRV and the linked Cardiovascular risk factors in a population of stressed and sedentary adults.
