What is a MOS?[edit | edit source]

A MOS is a four terminal device having source, drain, gate and body. Climbing up another level of abstraction MOS can be seen as a 'voltage controlled current source'. Voltage applied in gate controls the current flowing through source and drain.

MOS short for MOSFET stands for metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor
