Ova Sfongia Ex Lacte is an Ancient Roman recipe that is similar to a pancake.
- 3 cups milk
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups flour (preferably whole wheat for authenticity)
- 2 teaspoons honey
- dash ground pepper
- Beat together eggs, milk, oil, salt, and flour until you have a runny pancake dough. Add more flour if necessary.
- Cook on a hot skillet and serve topped with honey and a little pepper and dates (if you want to).
