Lavaridge Town (Japanese: (フエンタウン; Fuen Taun, "Fuen Town") is a fictional city in the Pokémon series, located in the Hoenn region. It is located at the foothills of Mt. Chimney. It has a population of 16 people.

Places of interest

[edit | edit source]

The Lavaridge Gym Leader is Flannery. Inside the gym, the player must go through a maze of holes in order to reach Flannery. She specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.

Hot Springs

[edit | edit source]

The Lavaridge Pokémon Center is connected to a hot spring, which is what Lavaridge Town is famous for all over the Hoenn region. It is said by the NPCs that it will calm the player and his other Pokémon...

Mt. Chimney

[edit | edit source]

Located north of the town is a location called Mt. Chimney. In the events of Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Team Aqua or Team Magma steal a meteroite in an attempt to control the volcano; Magma wants to expand the land (by making it erupt), while Aqua wishes to cool it down so it fills up with water. In either case, once the player defeats the admin, the respective team leaves the location.

Jagged Pass

[edit | edit source]

Jagged Pass is the formation that links Mt. Chimeny and Lavaridge Town. It is very jagged and steep. Video game players can use an Acro bike to climb up the bumpy step. In Pokemon Emerald, Team Magma stakes their hideout there, digging deeply into the mountainside to awaken the sleeping Groudon.
