CC-BY compatibility[edit source]
I know I just got done accepting that maybe CC-BY might be compatible with GFDL after all. Today someone else wondering about CC-BY compatible pointed out w:Wikipedia talk:FAQ/Copyright#CC-BY compatability issue, remove from FAQ? which suggests that even the Wikimedia Foundation's own legal counsel doesn't believe CC-BY and GFDL are compatible. http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/index_html#OtherLicenses says the same thing. Perhaps as was said on the FAQ talk page, it is unwise after all to jump to conclusions either way if even the experts can't agree. --darklama 20:17, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Out of scope[edit source]
Wikibooks does not host books written elsewhere - e.g., out of copyright books. These go on Wikisource. Wikibooks is for newly written textbooks, not stories or old texts. I have deleted your page accordingly. QuiteUnusual (discuss • contribs) 13:38, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
