The books here are classified according to the books classification system that is used by the Library of Congress. This book classification system has also been adopted by many colleges and universities, as well as a number of other general public libraries. This is just one of many ways that you can search through the collection of books that we have here on Wikibooks.

To add a book to the Library of Congress classification system, use {{LOC|<CLASS>|<ID>}}. Where <CLASS> is the character code for the major LOC category, and <ID> is the specific LOC identifier. If you do not know the specific identifier, you can leave <ID> blank. Details about how to determine the exact LOC classification code can be found at Wikibooks:CCO Resources#Library Of Congress Classification System
