Wikibooks:FAQ > How to delete a page
In normal circumstances, pages are not deleted from Wikibooks. It is, of course, possible for any user to blank a page, but all previous versions of the page will still be available in the page history for others to view and restore if they wish.
In a few specific circumstances, pages may be deleted from Wikibooks outright, removing not only the current version but also all previous versions. Only Administrators are able to delete pages, and except for obvious cases of vandalism or newbie experiments, the administrator will leave time for discussion before deleting a page. Examples of the special circumstances in which pages may be deleted are pages with copyrighted material reproduced without permission, pages that contain idiosyncratic or otherwise non-confirmable information, or pages made by mistake.
To request that a page be deleted, put the page title on Wikibooks:Requests for deletion, with the reason why you think it should be deleted. It will remain there for at least a week, giving other users the chance to comment on whether they think deletion is in fact appropriate. At some point an administrator will come by the page and decide to remove it for you. Unless someone else comes by and decides not to agree with you, of course! Wikibooks:Deletion policy gives more details about this.
Another way to request that a page be deleted is to put {{delete|comment}} at the top of the page. Replace "comment" with the reason you want the page deleted.
Often (but not always), rather than deleting a page, a page can be redirected somewhere useful.
