First of all, you have to set up a Recent Change patroller. Here, we will be using Lupin's Anti Vandal tool.

Now, Open the page "en.wikipedia.org/Yourusername/monobook.js" (Replace "Yourusername" by your username) and paste this in it

Save the page and follow the instructions above the edit window to force-reload the page and clear your browser cache.

Now you should have seen things add up in your toolbox.

Good, now click on "Recent IP Edits".

And check the following boxes

Now if you wait a minute, you should see some edits running. Check the diffs to make sure none of them are vandalism.

Install IRC, and open the IRC channel irc://chat.freenode.net:8001/vandalism-en-wp. Okay, everything working? Now go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Pilotguy/Verifications and follow the instructions to have clearance.
