Wiki science is the study of how the phenomenon of wikis, and free, open collaborative works in general (like free software and open source), are growing, changing and adapting.

The future wiki will offer the ability to present XML based info in a variety of forms dependent on the needs and stylistic preferences of users. Presently most wikis are developed and presented by programmers and follow a rigid procedural mentality. Nonetheless they are effective and mutating. The first likely integration will be some form of folding and unfolding (a sort of expanding and contracting URI). It is also likely that SVG will be used to provide a form of open source scaled graphics and animation.
