DealerTrack purchased Arkona Inc in 2007 for 58.9 million.[1]

Inventory[edit | edit source]

Arkona systems export inventory by using an automated report and ftp-exporting program provided by Arkona. They have control over the time the report is run and exported. Arkona sets arbitrary limitations on this ftp script and will not permit DNS hostnames for the FTP host thereby requiring IP address. In addition, usernames and passwords over 10 characters are prohibited.
