Using GNOME/Run Application

Run application lets you run an Application by its command name directly, rather than selecting it from the menu.
To use "run application".
- Select "Run Application" from the menu (Note: this menu item is now gone as of Gnome 2.12)
- Press Alt+F2 keys.
Options
- Run in terminal runs the program in the terminal. This is used when running terminal based programs.
