Hello and welcome to Wikibooks!

Here are some tips to help you get started:

You will find more resources in Community Portal. If you want to ask a question, visit the Study help desk, the Staff lounge, IRC channel or ask me personally on my talk page. For site news, see the Bulletin board. It might be an idea if you add this page to your "watchlist" so that you can see when any new information is posted there.

[edit] Red links

G'day, I've been watching the development of the Ma'amoul recipe - sounds fabulicious! I just wanted to mention that it is OK to leave the odd red link in a recipe, and can often in fact be advantageous. A red link indicates that there isn't a page on that topic yet, as in the case of dates. It's an invitation for a reader to go and create that page, and add content to Wikibooks. There is even someone who monitors the number of pages with the same red links, and creates a list of "most wanted" - see here. Rather than remove the red links, please leave them there or even create the missing pages yourself. cheers, Webaware talk 23:52, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
