Hello Monk! Welcome to wikibooks. We have a welcome template around here, but I can't remember what it is, so you will have to make due with my hand-written welcome. I see from your user page that you have developed a "passion" for this place. I'm glad about that! Wikibooks is a small project, admittedly, but the people that we do have really care about the project, and really want to generate some high-quality textbooks for the world to use. WOW, is just about all I can say. WOW. I've been using Wikibooks as a transwiki destination for a lot of the swing dancing how-tos on Wikipedia, but just recently meandered over here after a few months to see if anything had happened to the transwikied articles. The people who used to maintain the lists of "good books", and the books that appear on the main page are no longer active, and the exact methodologies that lead to books being listed in those places is unknown. I've been working on new methods for updating these pages by community concensus, but at the moment those projects haven't gotten off the ground. It wasn't that hard for me to rewrite, since I was the one who made that confusing text to begin with. I think I still need to fix it up some more though. Needs a more positive tone to it like the rest of the policy. --dark
