[edit] Wikijunior:Famous Inventors

I understand this is a class project, and the students are fairly young. We still need you to be careful to make sure they don't simply copy text from other websites, as that would be a copyright violation. If you would like, we can import pages from Wikipedia (this complies with the GFDL), and your students can simply take sections of those pages, and merge it into the book. Since they are quite young, I think this would be the best idea. If you make up a list of articles from Wikipedia you'd like to copy from and add it to WB:RFI, we'll get them imported quickly for you. If you need help with anything else, don't hesitate to ask. I don't think we've ever had a class project working on a Wikijunior book, so this is pretty exciting!  – Mike.lifeguard | ^talk 13:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

So I've imported w:Galileo Galilei to Transwiki:Galileo Galilei. The process I'd suggest is that the page gets edited in the transwiki namespace, and then moved into the book. If the location in the book already exists, you'd need an admin to take care of that, but it shouldn't be a problem. Again, if you're going to take only a few sentences then attribution to Wikipedia in the edit summary should be fine. Hope this all helps.  – Mike.lifeguard | ^talk 21:28, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Glad to see you using it, but please choose which revert option carefully. Vandal revert (in red) should be used for vandalism; AGF should be used to revert edits which were made with the right intentions, but should still be reverted. The middle one (blue) is what you want to use when reverting yourself. It lets you specify a revert reason (unless you disable that option).  – Mike.lifeguard | ^talk 00:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
