Hope the bosses read bout this...

  • 1. Darn upgrade Wiki to a revolutionary new version.
  • 2. There should be 3 kinds of login's with varying levels...
    • Faculty (Instructors, Professors, Chair, Dean)
    • Student (based on merit and the courses finished)
    • Builders (Writers, Contributors, Admins)

The Faculty teach and the students learn based on what the Builders write and do ( basically all the stuff that wikipedians do). Faculty may be a builder, but a student can not be a builder, though students can write on a few designated pages for homework.

  • 3. Make a wikiversity.org, independent of Wikibooks.
  • 4. Check out real on-line universities as a guide.

Hey. Thanks. We just have to keep on pushing. People will only come back if there will be lots of activity. And when there is activity, wikiversity can be sustained. Problem is, how do we invite more contributors? Like by the thousands. Also, do you know any admins? bosses? They should know that wikiversity is on life support! Some thing should be done! Oh ya, I borrowed your idea of making course titles, I hope you don't mind.... Humble Guy

I agree. We just have to keep at it. I don't know any of the admin folks and the ones I've left notes for have never responded or said anything back to me, so I wonder if perhaps they don't care. No problem with the course titles. What school are you working on? Good luck! ~Amish

I think if we can get some college clubs to add stuff we might be able to get alot more contributions. College students have nothing better to do. They have professional clubs for just about every engineering subject I know of. We gotta get some of them invovled.
