[edit] Welcome!
Welcome to Wikibooks:Chess, glad you joined. Please ask if there is anything that doesn't make sense. I will do my best to make it clear. SunCreator (talk) 12:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] English Defence
The English Defence or English Defense(American spelling) is different from the English opening, see [1] [2] [3], English Defence. In wikibooks we have the page Chess/English_Defence, it is not often played, not very good and not well known hence some confusion with the English Opening. SunCreator (talk) 12:13, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit]
Have created a navigator for the Elements of chess strategy book, that you might like to use. {{Elements of chess strategy/Navigation}} It's basically a copy of the navigator used in the Chess book, see for example it's used at the end of this page Chess/Playing_The_Game. SunCreator (talk) 22:03, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Oh thanks. Never could have thought of that one myself.

- By the way, is there a way to redirect the "previous" and "next" subpage name links? They're both redlinks.
-
- The previous and next are the 2nd and third option on the navigator.
- Example {{Elements of chess strategy/Navigation|Pawn structure|Open lines}} SunCreator (talk) 21:08, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Opening theory in chess/ECO index
Thanks for the effort your putting into Opening theory in chess/ECO index I can only imagine how time consuming and tedious doing that can be. 21:09, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Najdorf Book
Looking forward to your book on the najdorf. I'm sure that will be quite popular. SunCreator (talk) 21:15, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Four Knights' Game ECO index
On Chess/ECOC moves don't seem correct for Four Knights' Game, Marshall Variation and Rubinstein Variation. SunCreator (talk) 13:41, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
- Now fixed thanks to Oleander. SunCreator (talk) 12:49, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
