MartinY is Martin Grayson, a semi-retired scientific and educational consultant who is a musical performer on lute, guitar, 'cello, viol and recorder and composer based in South Yorkshire, England.

I have spent over 30 years designing, writing, implementing and running computer systems for chemistry research, admin, finance, investment and education around the interface of chemistry, pharmacology, mathematics and computer science.

My other big interest is music where I am a portfolio musician, doing playing, composing, publishing and teaching.

I am hoping not to waste some of my useful written material from over 30 years of work by putting it into open source books.
