[edit] Featured RecipeSan Francisco Sourdough Bread differs from other sourdough bread in being leavened with a culture prepared with fresh grapes. The multiplicity of strains of yeast (up to 16 according to the work of Robert K. Mortimer, professor emeritus of Molecular and Cell Biology at U.C., Berkeley) produces a unique taste. |
[edit] Featured IngredientBread is prepared by baking a dough made of flour (ground grain) and water, and often other ingredients. Dough is also used to make pasta which is in fact the Italian word for dough. |
John's a major contributer to the Cookbook, but don't be suprised to see him at the Chemistry or Biology shelves, either.
I've got an open feature request to include Cookbook namespace modules in the count of total modules in the project. If you'd like to support it, please go and vote for it.
He also messes around at Wikipedia as w:User:Gentgeen (where he's also an admin), and just started using Wikimedia Commons as commons:User:Gentgeen
