From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

Hello!
My name is David, and I'm new here at wikibooks, well, as a contributor anyway. I have long surfed wikipedia and wikibooks to glean information for fun and profit.
So, here I am now, ready contribute (hopefully positive) back this excellent resource and the comunity at large.
I think the first couple of things I'll help work on is the python wikibook, and then some of the help pages. I don't quite yet fully comprehend the organisation of site, so any pointers would be useful.
The help system and information seems to be disjointed between the "help" and wikibooks categories.
