Launched in 2004 as a replacement for the Used Car Buyer's Guide/Chevrolet Metro, which was axed in 2000, this was Chevrolet's "supermini". Based on the Daewoo Kalos sold elsewhere in the world (in Europe it's a Daewoo and a Chevrolet!), it was European-styled, and Euro-designed too, but was built in South Korea.
Unlike its predecessor, it was a five-door hatchback only, but a four-door saloon was available as well.
Trim levels[edit | edit source]
The Aveo came in base and + trim levels. The base trim level was plain, and rather spartan, so avoid this version.
Engines[edit | edit source]
One engine was available, a 1.6-litre/103hp 4-cylinder. It's OK, and not as thrashy for a car this size.
