[edit] Numbers

Digits:(Rakamlar)

0 sıfır
1 bir
2 iki
3 üç
4 dört
5 beş
6 altı
7 yedi
8 sekiz
9 dokuz

Decades:

10 on
20 yirmi
30 otuz
40 kırk
50 elli
60 altmış
70 yetmiş
80 seksen
90 doksan

Hints about decades: Seksen and doksan were sekizon, and dokuzon (eightten and nineten). For elli el means a single hand elli means with hand if you don't consider the number; one ten for each finger, but this connection is a coincedence (it will help you remembering though)

100 yüz
200 iki yüz, 300 üç yüz and so on

1.000 bin
2.000 iki bin 3.000 üç bin so on

10.000 on bin
20.000 yirmi bin 30.000 otuz bin and so on

for the rest use the same pattern for thousands

1.000.000 bir milyon

1.000.000.000 bir milyar

1.000.000.000.000 bir trilyon

1.000.000.000.000.000 bir katrilyon

Example 123.456.789 is read as Yüz yirmi üç milyon dört yüz elli altı bin yedi yüz seksen dokuz

If you are writing a number in letters there are two cases:
1. You are writing down some amount of money on a check or something alike: No spaces are used,
2. Anything else: Use spaces as in the example above for easier reading.
