Welcome, Welcome!

Come introduce yourself in the general reading room or your project in the project reading room. If you have any questions, you can ask in the assistance reading room or contact me personally.
Usage
Given the value of the Wikibooks community and to help newly registered users to get acquainted to Wikibooks, it is encouraged that they be welcomed and given some useful links and hints. There are no rules as to when to welcome new users. Use your own judgement. Take a look at their contributions to see whether they are likely to join or if they have already been with the program for a while.
Place
{{subst:welcome}}
on the user's talk page (not the user page itself) and sign it (--~~~~). A short personal note is always nice. You can include it in the template:
{{subst:welcome|1=your note here}}
which will replace the standard salutation but still display the welcome package.
An alternative welcoming template, {{bigwelcome}}, goes into far more detail than this terse welcome. See other welcome templates in Category:Welcome templates and on Wikibooks:Template messages/User talk namespace.
