Template documentation[edit] [history] [purge]

Usage[edit]

The template is used mainly for image placement. The default is for a left alignment. Whereas an image without a border cannot have a caption, this limitation is overcome by placing the image in a table cell construct which resembles the usual thing. It behaves broadly as if it were simple image syntax.

It is called as follows: {{Noframeleft|[[File:Gerbera pink.jpg|250px]]|Pink Gerbera : ''This is the caption''}}

It looks like this. (Text has been added to illustrate the default spacings.):

Parameters[edit]

There are two parameters. They are each numbered and named.

  • The first parameter contains the wiki image syntax line. This can be specified with |content= or simply as a nameless parameter if placed in the first position.
  • The second parameter contains the text for the image caption. This can be specified with |caption= or as a nameless parameter. Use the former if the caption contains an equals (=) sign.
  • Note that the parameter names are in lower case. These (along with image file names) are case sensitive.
  • The optional values that are listed below must equate to the option names, with the options and parameters all spaced from one another with pipe symbols. An example for use at the right of the page would look like this:
    {{Noframeleft|content=[[File:Gerbera pink.jpg|250px]]|caption=Caption|align=right|margin=0 0 0 1em}}

Several templates are available that specify the default alignment without a parameter, allowing the specification of only the image and caption:
