Ni hao! You introduce the several different ways characters were created, saying
- "... six different origins. They are 象形,指事,會意,形聲,轉注and假借."
Would it be possible to give each of these ways a short English explanation/name? Perhaps you could do this at the beginning of each section below there, like "象形 - picture characters", "形聲 - sound plus hint", etc. ?
Perhaps where you say "So, you can see, their pronunciations are similar" you could also say that "presumably the pronunciations were even more similar, perhaps the same, in ancient Chinese" ? Shenme 02:58, 29 Jun 2005 (UTC)
