Talk:Web 2.0 and Emerging Learning Technologies
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
This looks like a great effort and I look forward to digging in...but please, drop the use of "WELT." First, a "welt" is acutally a painful thing and second, this is hard enough topic to explain to people without having another acronym in the way. I mean I am not being dismissive of your efforts, far from it, but if you create and try to propagate another acronym - that just puts another layer in between us and the people we want to understand this stuff. What happens when it becomes Web 3.0? Wilii it still be WELT? What if its not Web-based...is it just ELT?
Possible. This is a class project. It is ongoing. You can write to me. Curt Bonk, Indiana University.
Dear Curt Bonk, Thanks for your comment. ELT stands for English Language Teaching... we could use Emerging Learning Technologies anyway. I guess they could be used to teach different languages. It is a class project, it will always be updated on the second term every year. I am a teacher trainer and my students from three collaboratively to publish here. Let me know is we can join some other ongoing project. I think it would be very enriching for all of us. This is Susana Trabaldo, National Technological University, Buenos Aires, Argentina
