Talk:Using Firefox/Keyboard shortcuts
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
What I really want to know is how to dissable the complete .com/.net/.org adddress keyboard shortcuts which are completely useless, since they are easy to trigger accidentally (shift-enter especially), and not really at all memorable .. shift==.net? ctrl+Shift== .org ?? what? So the best tip here would be how to disable this crud. Firefox developers are mum on the subject, insisting you're wrong if you want usability over IE compatability, only on your own browser. Suggestions appreciated. --JoshuaRodman

[edit] Need Shortcut for Scrolling within a Page
I guess my Subject line says it: it would be helpful to be able to scroll up or down within a page or move up or down by the amount of the visible window without taking one's hands off the keyboard to touch the mouse. Right now my kluge is to hit / to open a search within the page, then type a period. By tapping F3 I then advance sentence by sentence. Shift F3 to go back up the page. Another (slower) way is to search for spaces with F3.
I think PageUp and PageDown should be programmed to perform as you might think: make the bottom line of the current window into the top line, or vice versa. Right?
Is there something I don't know about? thanks Vincent
