The supersymmetry algebra is then nothing more then taking for the even part the Poincare algebra P together with some - almost free to choose - Lie algebra U, the internal symmetry and taking for the odd generators some spin 1/2 representations of P and often the odd generators are in some vector representation of U. A supersymmetric field theory then describes a theory with a field content that is a representation of this supersymmetry algebra.
