[edit] Why were the pages on Set Theory moved to Topology?
I am wondering why these pages on Set Theory were moved under Topology. Since Set Theory underlies many parts of mathematics (e.g. Discrete Mathematics as well), shouldn't a book on Set Theory stand on its own, with some less-thorough reference to Set Theory given in the books on Topology, Discrete Math, etc.?

I agree whole-heartedly. If there is no objection in, say, a month, I will declare a consensus and move the restore this to being its own book. --JMRyan T E C 19:48, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Ditto, merging with what's in Discrete Mathematics would be appreciated also. Fephisto 04:05, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
After many months of no objections, I hereby declare a consensus and have restored Set Theory as its own book. --JMRyan T E C 20:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit]
The Set Theory pages have a nav3 template creating backlinks to Wikiversity:School of Mathematics and their School of Mathematics:Pure Mathematics. However, this book was not created as part of Wikiveristy. School of Mathematics:Pure Mathematics lists several "Structured courses"; each of these have this nav3 template with similar backlinks. School of Mathematics:Pure Mathematics also lists several "Texts for reference". The idea, so it seems, is that these are books outside Wikiversity offering related material. Of these only Set Theory has the backlinks to Wikiversity. I would like to remove the nav3 template from the Set Theory pages. If there is no objection after about a month, I will declare a consensus and remove it. --JMRyan T E C 20:30, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
After many months of no objection, I hereby declare a consensus and have removed the nav3 & nav4 templates backlinking the book to Wikiversity. I have also made the category for all pages Mathematics. --JMRyan T E C 20:13, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
