Why merge this almost empty article? Shouldn't it better just be removed?

This was part of an edit conflict, but in general the philosophy is that this is to become a reference manual, while the Serial Programming Wikibooks is more of a step-by-step textbook. There is an important distinction between the two, and the textbook is much harder to write, to be honest. --Rob Horning 04:24, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
