Definitely needs to happen. Both texts are incomplete, so merging will solve both problems.

I agree. The Intro to Psych book is the better one, this is fragmentary. In the longer term, it also makes more sense to keep the general psychology textbook titled 'intro to..' as other psychology-related books are gradually being developed, it can cause confusion to have a book titled 'psychology' when this is also a subject heading.
