Why put the welcome sentence as this?

Olá! Hello! Bem-vindo ao Welcome to livro de lingua portuguesa Wikibooks! Wikibooks's Portuguese language textbook! Aqui Here tu vais you will aprender a learn how to falar português speak Portuguese.

I believe it is hard to read and to understand. I propose a change to something more like this:

Olá! Bem-vindo ao wikilivro de língua Portuguesa. Aqui vai aprender a falar português.

Translation: Hello! Welcome to the Portuguese language wikibook! Here you will learn to speak Portuguese

I agree. Especially since sentences don't really translate word-for-word like that most of the time (in real life).

I've changed it so that all Portuguese text is together as suggested for readability

[edit] About Brazilian Portuguese on this Wikibook

Hello! I'm a newcomer to the wikibooks and a native Portuguese.

When I looked at the Portuguese Language Wikibook I understood it was written in Brazilian Portuguese.

I was wondering if Portuguese from Portugal could be used as it's the one I truly master and the only in which I could help the wikibook.
