Should we split this into several pages? -- Emperorbma

I think so. Please go ahead. Kpjas

When I red this I wonder how I was capable to learn this language :) I think that it would be nice to write something about double negation in polish. Dryobates.

i'm not sure that i wouldn't say that i don't disagree with you. ;) Boud 12:01, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I started a new link: Polish Idioms and Expressions. But I need someone else to write in it! Please, be a Polish person =) or someone who speaks Polish REALLY fluently :-) Dziewcyna Gwiazda

I'm from Poland and I can help you. Just say, what do you want?

Hi Dziewcyna Gwiazda, some of my friends on pl.wikipedia and other online forums might well enjoy making a list of boud-ish idioms and expressions in Polish ;), before they get lost because i forget my old errors... But that would be too cult-ish. Boud 13:49, 18 Mar 2004 (UTC)

There is an idiomatic expression in Polish which literally translates into English as: "He is from Pipiduvec." Pipiduvec (sp.?) is a mythical town where only "stupid people" live, so the expression means, "He is stupid," or "he is an idiot." Do you know this expression?

As far as I know (I'm native speaker but not a linguist), it's not exactly like that. "pipidówa" (pipi-doova) is a term for a small, primitive village. You could say "damn, what a pipidówa, they don't even have a shop here". --Derbeth talk 18:04, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Naming convention change

Would anyone have something agains changing naming convention from archaic colon style to new slash style (Polish:Introductions would become Polish/Introductions)? This change would provide readers with backlinks to the table of contents on top of every chapter.

This change can be done by a bot, with no need to edit anything manually. I just need consensus of book contributors. --Derbeth talk 08:12, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Forum

If this is a book for the people who want to learn Polish, maybe it would be a good idea to create a sister-forum to this book? I mean, to create a forum where people who learn Polish could ask questions and some netives (like me) would answer them?

[edit] Too focused in grammar

Hello. I am writing the polish wikibook in portuguese language and I would just like to say to the english writers that this course is too focused in grammar. A beginners course should have a more vocabulary then grammar. Take a look at the German wikibook for some inspiration. thanks --201.81.159.119 (talk) 01:17, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

More pharses and useful words! (nie lubię angielskiego ;p)
