Hi! I just reviewed your book for Help:Development stages. I suggest that you have a look how to set mathematical formulae. It would make the excercises easier to read. I was looking for a project like this to contribute. I like to make a database of excercises of physics. I think that a book of Physics exercises would be better if it contains both solved and unsolved problems. What do you think?

I think it is better to have the solutions around somewhere for reference. They don't have to be on the same page though as it is now. Also, the solutions don't have to be written by you, but you might encourage others to provide them. Also, there might be a "Teacher's wikibook" that contains solutions to exercises without solutions in this book? So there is no point in omitting solutions in a wiki... Also, this is the only way to look for errors, should the exercises by accident be wrong or unsolvable... --Andreas 11:37, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Merge into Physics Study Guide?

I think this book would be better served as part of the Physics Study Guide book since the goal is to have worked examples to study from --Martín S-M

At the moment, Physics Study Guide links to this book (as an appendix), and IMHO, that seems like the best thing to do. The Study Guide, as a whole, does not focus on problems (more of a quick-review guide, it seemed like), and having problems interpersed throughout the guide will rather be distracting, not to mention it does not serve those students/instructors who are simply looking for problems to work out. Automatically numbered questions are done through HTML lists, or in Wiki markup, by lists starting with "#", like

1. First question
2. Second question

I should note that this notation is rather fragile (if you break the list, it'll restart numbering), so there are a lot of stuffs in between, you should use ordered HTML list like (see code)

And, no, I don't think there's a way to just upload PS or PDF files. There are tools that will turn PS or PDF to HTML code, and you can *probably* more or less paste that in here, but short of making a link to a PS or PDF file (which I don't think is recommended), you can't do that. novakyu (talk) 06:52, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
