all this really seems like is a review of cygwin


Moreover, Cygwin is NOT a Linux emulator and it CANNOT run native Linux binaries. It's more or less just POSIX/source compatibility environment. If you need native Linux environment on Windows, use coLinux, VMWare, VirtualPC etc.
