[edit] Writer Tutorial
I have started a writer Tutorial but it needs more attention.

- I'll get working on the OOo Writer Tutorial, make it pretty. Should have a nice one by the 6th of this month, and then I'll work on the others. -- ZekeDragon 04 February 2006 - 01:03PST
[edit] Updating to v. 2.0.2
I have made a couple of changes to this end, but not checked installation instructions, etc., etc...
In particular, the statement "Clicking next again allows you to choose a directory in which to install the software." is, AFAIK, no longer true. Windows users cannot choose their install directory - or can they?... Would prefer another's confirmation rather than to make this change myself, considering my uncertainty. [edit] Removing the Version section
I'm thinking about removing the version section, cause this is a section that would need updating every time there is a version up. I think a book should contains information that isn't too time-critical, book should essentially contain information that won't change frequently. What do you think? --The Kid 10:30, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- How about "For current version see" and give a link? Just a thought (nice work in the module BTW) --Herby talk thyme 10:35, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cost
I don't like the use of the word "none" for cost. While the software is free to obtain, there are other cost factors (for businesses) like training, conversion etc. which should be noted. Oberiko 21:53, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- True, but if you already know other Office Suite, converting to OpenOffice is easy, and needs little retraining, if any, since they will most likely only need a little readjustment. If you don't know any other Office Suite, learning Open Office is easy and training cost is as much as training someone with other Office Suite. Anyway, don't ask someone who's completely blank on any Office Suite to create a Document, Spreadsheet, etc on any Office Suite. It's much cheaper to hire another person to do that job or since learning Office Suite is easy if the employee is already familiar with computer you could cut the training cost by encouraging the employee to learn autodidactly at their own pace (nowadays though, most people have at least some degree of familiarity with computers).
[edit] Base
A tutorial about OOoBase is very important and necessary. Can anybody write a structure for the page ?. --82.159.136.215 05:53, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images
Hello all. I'm writing the hebrew wikibook of OpenOffice. Please note that Commons have now some relevant images in categories such as OpenOffice.org Writer. I would also appreciate if you upload your images there too, so all the wikis could enjoy them. Thanks! Mintz l 10:59, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
