We just read this book in our school and I very much enjoyed it but was rather shocked at the ending. RIght up to the last moment I believed Lenniew ould escape

Dont EVER delete other peoples comments.. This article is very bad. Lennie is not obsessed with the hair of Curley's wife until the end. Its not a trait of him. He never thought about her hair any other time. That, among other things, makes this article terible.

from now on, just revert the comments by going to the history. It is made rather easy.--66.41.169.244 12:38, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

Someone really messed up this

No (excrement), Sherlock... :) Correcting. Lynx7725 02:39, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Okay, done. Obviously, can't restore everything, and it's been quite some time since I last read the book (10+ yrs back). It really ticks me off to see ignorant people doing nonsensical edits to articles that are placed here in good faith by others. I mean, why not just leave the darn thing alone? Caveat Corrector: Although I've tried to edit it, this entry remains simply terrible. Good luck to the brave soul willing to pick up where I left off.

[edit] One Brave Soul

Okay. I'm jumping in on this one. I'm going to hit the character sketches first, then go to the synopsis. One question for those of you watching this module: I could do a synopsis of just a few paragraphs, or I could hit this chapter by chapter. Which is preferred? I'll look at entries for other novels and see what common practice is, I guess. This novel is too great to be so poorly represented here. -- Mitchell K Dwyer 09:58, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I tried

Since when is Curley's wife named Mae? I thought she was never named in the novel (because she was a possession/no one cared about her). If its from a movie or something, it should be deleted, but I'm leaving it for now since Im not sure. Urukagina

She's not named Mae, and I don't know where that came from. The only reason I haven't deleted it yet is that I'm working my way through the characters a few at a time and haven't gotten to Curley's wife yet.
Thanks for the sincere attempt at the summary; I was going to get to that after the characters. I think it still needs a bit of work, but your summary at least provides a good backbone. -- Mitchell K Dwyer 17:09, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
She doesn't have a name for a reason, to prove she's thought of as a 'possession' at least that's what my revision guides have said. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 195.188.173.231 (talkcontribs) 11:38, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
