[edit] Merge from MySQL/Table types
G'day, it has been suggested that this module MySQL/Table types be merged into MySQL/Optimization. I'd recommend keeping it separate, as discussions of optimisation take into account more aspects of database design and configuration than simply the engine type, and conversely, engine type differences account for more than just differences in performance. Additionally, it is useful to show comparative features and pros/cons between different engine types, even for readers not (yet) interested in optimisation. Webaware talk 06:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- What page is suggested to be merged with MySQL/Optimization? (this is MySQL/Optimization here ;)) Beuc 21:11, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

- Duh! My bad, I clicked the (discuss) link on the merge tag on MySQL/Table types and didn't notice that it brought me here. I've changed the section name.
- Someone has tagged /Table types with a {{mergeto}}, but I think it should sit separately. Optimisation takes in selecting engine type, but engine type affects more than performance. Webaware talk 21:51, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with Webaware for the reasons he already explained.
