[edit] Questions sections

Most of the detailed plot summaries come with chapter-by-chapter "Questions" sections. These are a tad unuseful "to the scholar" if they don't also come with answers. For instance, in chapter 1 of the philosopher's stone, we have the question "4) Who was You-Know-Who?". It would be a little more informative to have some information, either beside it or below in another section, saying "Question 4 is answered in Chapter 4, Book 1". Or similar. Some questions posed early on aren't answered until Book 7, others are answered in 3 pages - this vital information is not made clear. Anyone wishing for answers could only possibly find them in this manner by searching page by page through our synopses. --86.5.99.65 14:30, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

I disagree. Literary criticism questions are often left unanswered in review books since they often don't have a straight answer. These kinds of questions are often what we desire to write since they make the reader reflect and stay interested in the material, looking for deeper answers as they read. A straightforward question could be answered like you say, but that is left up to the reader to find. With casual reading that question can be answered, and it's much too important to give away so early. These questions should intertwine the works and deliver a stronger understanding of the topics involved. -withinfocus 00:37, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
