Shouldn't this book be compiled into a PDF, being a Featured Book and all?

June 6. Hi all - I noticed some of the main chapters got posted into the front page of the book. I suspect that was done by mistake. I moved them into the chapter pages. I need the front page uncluttered today, since the groups here in Utah are posting their questions and starting their discussion pages today. Thanks. Gerardo.ok 23:17, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi all -
In the next few weeks this wikibook is going to be built up by students in three Groups and Teams classes. The buildup will be of the practical aspects of managing groups and teams. As that gets built, I will be working to reorganize the material in a way that is more consistent with the original intent of this book.

- Hi Gerardo, I take it you are the professor for the class in Utah? Aburda 02:24, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

- Hi Aburda. Yes, I am... Nice to meet you... Gerardo.ok 21:50, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Anyone know the "Academic" word for "incompetent"? I also want to look into people who do sloppy poor quality work. Any suggestions on what to look up in the journals? -Jeremy
- Jeremy, usually you would use words like "skill", but my suspicion is that you will need to broaden it even from there. You might consider "ability" as well as words like "complementarity." Another thing to do is to grab a "how to" book and see the range of words they use, or pick up one of the more academic references and see the language they use. One lat thought... There might be some references to KSAs (Knowledge, skills, and abilities) that pop up in some places. Gerardo.ok 21:50, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- Gerardo - How's that? I think I got the hang of it now. It's not as easy as make it in WORD and paste it into the Wikipage. I was kind of under the impression it was going to be like that. You do have to pay attention to the organization under Wiki Rules. Thanks for the help.
Hi all - I would encourage everyone to complete major outlines and edits inside the actual chapters, rather than on the front page of the book. Otherwise we risk having the front of the book get very, very cluttered. Just a thought. Gerardo.ok 13:17, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
Hey! Who removed our outline? The difficult team member stuff is totally gone. I had posted out proposed outline, but it's gone now. What's up?--Jeremyfoland 07:31, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Jeremy - It is not gone, it is inside the chapter page. I moved it to keep the front page of the book with only the statements of the problems. If you click on the title of the chapter, you will see it there. Again, we should be trying to limit the clutter on the front page of the book, and reserving the work of the groups for the chapter pages. Also, if you click on the history tab at the top of the page, you can see who made the most recent changes to each section. That way, if you want you can communicate with the user directly in their talk page. Gerardo.ok 18:14, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
Gerardo - I think I got it now. Is that OK. Please check out the Difficult People Section. --Jeremyfoland 04:17, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Jeremy - Looks good. At some point in the future (and depending on how many different chapters we have ultimately), we might want to consider changing the organization of the front page to something similar to this: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook Notice that each Main heading could still be in place, but that the sub-chapters would then be in a line, with less information than they have now. Any thoughts? Gerardo.ok 22:01, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello, we've added chapter 7 on diversity, this is the U of U Night class group #3.

[edit] Completed?
This book appears on the front page as completed, but needs to be reformatted like other completed books. 128.211.202.189 19:03, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't think this book is complete yet... It needs a bit more work. I will remove the completed note. Gerardo.ok 20:22, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
