[edit] Please remain neutral

There's quite an anti-MATLAB point of view in the language used in this text at the moment, using phrases like "MATLAB chokes on this" (which is a correct colloquial expression for what happens, but since the example is of commands that are not legal MATLAB syntax, the implication that MATLAB somehow breaks or fails to run correctly is false) or "This is a kludge" or "Octave properly parses this" (both systems parse the example *properly*, but for one system it is not valid syntax).

This chapter should take a neutral tone of voice, appealing both to MATLAB users and Octave users. I use Octave and I don't want Octave users to come across as sounding like they have a grudge against MATLAB! Please help edit this page to a good neutral point of view. I'll make some changes now.

I agree, to avoid edit conflicts I won't make any changed until you're done, but the information in the article, though useful, could use some NPOV-itizing. Mattb112885 (talk) 23:37, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
