What do the three or four columns represent?

.a'a attentive inattentive avoiding

It appears that .a'a means attentive, and I would guess that with some sort of modifier means inattentive or avoiding?

I see this format a lot in lojban references, but haven't seen an explanation for it. Thanks!

Taken from the second external link (I'm not saying that was obvious though): 'Attitudinals have three-way glosses: what they mean on their own, what they mean with cu'i after them, and what they mean with nai after them.' Which I beleive means: Actual Feeling, Indifference of the feeling, Opposite of the Feeling. Ragzouken 13:52, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
