[edit] In regards to vocabulary
I believe that we should not only give words and definitions, but demonstrate these words in a conversational context. For example, in the food and beverages unit, in addition to the basic vocabulary aspect, we could also provide commonly used phrases such as "I would like to book a reservation at your restaurant", "Enjoy your meal", "What would you like to order?" etc. It's the only way people will learn how to actually apply Lojban to conversational speaking.
Secondly, I believe that we should add more units to the textbook. I suggest the topics Celebrations, Shopping, Medical (doctor and veterinary), Entertainment and Interests, Relationships (family, friends, fiancees), School, Work, etc. What is your opinion? fe'o --Jboprelinomu 13:07, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. The wikibook like it is now is quite unreadable, which doesn't aid in learning the language (or ANY language for that matter). JorisvS
Colors and similar aren't distinct enough to serve as module titles. --mav

Would it be better to add the Lojban draft textbook (http://lojban.org/publications/draft_textbook.html ) to Wikibooks and work with it instead of starting from scratch?
This is legal only if the link you gave is in the public domain or under the GFDL or GFDL-compatible license. I couldn't find anything saying so. The language definition is in the public domain. --Ellmist 05:32, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)
