Just noticed that the chart is weak in regards to helping a student to learn the special reading of verbs. I.e. 来ない is not read くない it's read こない but how is a learner supposed to know that? etc. cheers, Nesnad (talk) 13:46, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

- I would suggest not adding readings to the conjugation table. Perhaps adding a link discussing the verbs in detail would be a better match. Japanese/Grammar/Verbs#Irregular_verbs discusses the verb conjugation and its reading. --Retropunk (talk) 03:54, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
[edit] copula literary conjugations
I think we have too many different conjugation styles for the copula: polite, plain, literary, and the colloquial version of the polite. Of course, there are some versions that don't even have it. Do we really need all four? At the very least, we should note it.. but preferably move it to its own page. Once we start treating this table as a one-stop shop for all nuances, whether colloquially, literary, or slang, it'll never stop growing. --Retropunk (talk) 08:24, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
