[edit] Nomeclature - that comes last
Emphasis on inorganic compounds - is an hallmark component of weak textbooks and lousy instructors in inorganic chemistry (as in organic chemistry). I know because I have taught this subject many times - we have all heard the refrain from beginning chemistry students - but, but professor, you must know how to name your compounds, shouldnt we? Ans: not really, Inorganic and organometallic chemists work more with formulas and get along marvelously. Nomenclature is a topic that draws chemically illiterates like flies to honey. So please, please do not let nomenclature stand at the front of this wikibook! --130.126.226.125 00:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] how is this different from physical chemistry?
I'm not an expert at chemistry, so I don't understand the difference between inorganic and physical chemistry. Hoogli 14:03, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- never mind... I get it now. Hoogli
