Vibrato: In a video interview BB King said that he does not use string Bending, but his style does include very heavy use of Vibrato to sustain notes (and please listeners). Demonstrating his Vibrato, his thumb was around the neck and his pinkie free (little finger unused) and sticking in the air when fretting with another finger, and he "wiggles" his hand such that you notice his pinkie wave. This wiggle transfers to the string without it seeming to move, and it is not bending or altering the pitch noticably (so this is different than the described repeated bend-release bend-release method; or this is a much less pronounced effect!). I believe his movement is "all in the wrist", and not especially elbow movement, but perhaps his arm is also slightly in motion (from the wrist area, up into his hand, then exaggerated at the extreme = pinkie wave).
