--Mystic Philosopher 20:09, 7 January 2006 (UTC) We need to work on the organization, focus, format of this textbook. We need to make it distinct from other online content to give it greater purpose.

I would like to thank whoever got this book on the AGA newsletter (I'm a little behind on emails) I have beet thinking of doing it for a while now but never have. unfortunatly I don't think it has helped much.--Ulfrinn 18:55, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Structure changes

--Mystic Philosopher 02:17, 26 March 2006 (UTC) I made changes to the structure layout and developed an introduction. Any thoughts on these changes?

take a look at this page it is the german wikibook (translated with bable fish). It should be a good guide to help with this book.Ulfrinn 05:06, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

I have made many changes to the layout of the book which I think will make it more reader friendly. Many pages still need work and I do not currently have time to do it. Since I have changed the layout many of the links, pointing to the next and previous pages, at the bottums of the pages are now wrong I will adress this when I have more time. [edit] Things to do

  1. in general we need content.
  2. specifically Joseki and Fuseki additions and additions to the beginner section as well.
  3. lessons (there are now 2 lesson 3&4 joseki and fuseki need to be renumberd as soon as we got the lessons straight)

[edit] Additions to Life and Death and Capture Strategy

I've added some prelim information that may help readers, however, it does need to be elaborated. The information that i have provided should help guide further editors on the subject.

Capture strategy has yet to be discussed. I shall be pulling some stuff from "Teach Yourself:Go" in the near future so that we may be able to develope this area furthur. --Devildope 12:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Be slightly careful of copyright. It's a great book and Charles Matthews has done a brilliant job with general go material for beginners and stronger players alike, but he is also protective of intellectual property (and reasonably so). Topazg 10:34, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Japanese pronunciation of Go

I am no linguistics expert, but as far as I understood the "i" at the beginning is silent, and it is just pronounced "Go" (hence I think the western pronunciation also) - Can anyone else shed further light on this? Topazg 18:07, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
