[edit] Proofreading Center

Some things still have to be done by speakers of Upper Sorbian. Please leave a note about what you are doing or have done in the following list of tasks.

[edit] Monolingual page

The monolingual page has to be proof-read by someone who knows Upper Sorbian well; please correct the mistakes you find and make a list of your corrections here, so that other people can use your list to correct the bilingual pages. While doing this, look if someone else has already listed mistakes they spotted on this talk page. A lot of information on Upper Sorbian has also already been entered in the maps.

[edit] Bilingual pages

The bilingual pages should be proof-read after the monolingual page is corrected, so that the mistakes spotted there can already be used. Please have a look at the talk pages of the bilingual pages, too, to see if someone else has already made comments about mistakes there.

[edit] Maps

Someone should look through the semasiological maps of those words where there have been mistakes in the monolingual page and adapt them.

[edit] Translations needed

  • At the moment there is no Upper Sorbian wikipedia article on Upper Sorbian. It would be good if someone could write at least a short stub article "Hornjoserbšćina" at the Sorbian test wikipedia. There is already a Lower Sorbian stub on Upper Sorbian (to which the article "Hornjoserbšćina" redirects at the moment), and you can use information from the articles Sorbian languages and Sorbische Sprache. Once there is an Upper Sorbian article on Upper Sorbian, you can adjust this template to the new location of this article.

[edit] šěna (copied from Talk:False Friends of the Slavist/Map schiene)

Hallo people, I tried to translate the upper sorabian word šěna, but I had some difficulties. In german it is: Schiene, Stab, Leiste, but not in the medical or railway senses. Are there some good internet pages about the translation of sorabian words into English? I tried to find such pages. --Tlustulimu 15:35, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
